How to Open Links in Separate Tabs in Tableau
Here's way to open links from URL actions and web URLs in separate browser tabs and not in the same view or dashboard.
When you're working on a project and sharing multiple dashboards with users, you might create an index page to help them easily navigate between screens.
By default, clicking a URL link from the index often opens it in the same new tab, overwriting the previous one. To stop this and make sure each link opens in a separate new tab, you can do the following:
- Add
?:embed=yes&:linktarget=_blankto the end of the navigation page's URL. - Share the updated URL with your users.
